Welcome to the New Zion REAL Moms page!  Yes, you read that right, we will no longer be known as MOPS but will be called REAL Moms instead!

I know what you're thinking, "Why the name change," right?!  It is simple, we want to reach ALL Momma's in our community not just Moms of preschoolers.

The Bible tells us in Titus that the older women should minister to the younger.  There is so much we can learn from one another! I don't know about you, but my beautiful chaos could use all the wisdom we can get!  And let's be honest, we could all use a break from time to time!  So, if you just found out you are expecting, just found out your gonna be a grandma, are an adoptive parent or anywhere in between; we want to be here for you!

What does "REAL" mean anyway?!  Well, I'm glad you asked!

The R stands for relational; we want to get to know you and your family.  Not just the "hi how are ya" know but the "your burdens are my burdens" kind of know.

E is for encouraging.  This Mommy business is hard work and we want to encourage you, lift you up and let you know you are not alone!

A represents accountability.  As women of God we should be holding each other accountable to be women, wives and mothers who honor God.  We all fall, we all make mistakes and we all lose it sometimes but there is forgiveness in Christ!  God wants us to bring Him glory through our families and other relationships.

L is for Laughter! Yep, because sometimes in the chaos of life, that is all you can do to stay sane!

We will be going through a Bible study this year called Missional Motherhood.  It will teach us how our Motherhood is a mission from God!  That even though there are endless seas of laundry and dishes God has a purpose and you are way more than "just a mom!"

We usually meet the second Monday of every month except July and August.  Meetings are from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm upstairs in the youth room of the FMC building.

All of our meetings are pot luck with a food theme so we know what type of food to bring.  Food is not required for attendance! We understand that sometimes life is crazy and preparing food can be tough with our wild schedules, so just come anyway.  We'll have plenty!

Childcare is provided and we will feed your kiddos too!  Miss Sara Fauntleroy and Miss Taylor Singletary will be leading our children's activities.
